Grand Cayman is one of the world’s top dive destinations with abundant fish life and corals to be seen on every dive. The dramatic and breathtaking wall dives are unequalled in the world. To ensure that it stays this way the Cayman Watersports association has placed buoys around the island on dive sites of particular interest. Most of the dive sites can only be reached by boat. The dive sites accommodate every level of diver, be they novice or technical ccr trimix. Dive sites start in a comfortable 18ft of water with those on the edge of the main wall at 60ft.

Those sites situated in 60ft of water allow divers to easily swim to the drop off which goes down to 5,000 ft. For comfort and pleasure most diving in Cayman is done by boat and follows either a morning or afternoon schedule with a typical boat departure time of either 8.00 am or 1.00 pm.

Traveling time to the first dive site on departure from the dock is normally 40 mins which allows for a quick pre dive briefing to ensure the most is made of the dive site. The first dive is a 40 minute dive with a maximum depth of 100ft. Following a leisurely 1 hour surface interval in which soft drinks are available, the boat will then move site and anchor on one of the inner buoys. Normally this will allow a second dive of one hour in 40ft of water. Once all the divers are back on board the boat will return to the dock which normally takes 40 minutes. Stingray WaterSports’ boat diving prices include air tanks and weights with nitrox available at a surcharge. Please advise in advance if you require nitrox. Stingray watersports is a rebreather friendly operation and tanks and sofnolime can be made available if requested in advance.

PLEASE NOTE. For multiple days rental the price is reduced to 1/3 of the full price per extra day. No credit will be given for unused gas returned.
